Auction archive FAQ

How far does Side damage knock the final bid down?

Read the spread of auction results on this page rather than a rule of thumb. The final bids here are all for Side damage, so the difference between the low and high end is the effect of everything else — title, keys, mileage and model.

Is Side damage worth repairing at these sold prices?

Compare the final bid with the estimated repair cost printed on each lot. Where the gap is thin, the auction priced the car for parts rather than for the road.

Which Side lots sell cheapest at auction?

Almost always the ones with a branded title and no keys. Both are listed on every auction record, so you can filter them out of your comparison by eye.
